Civil Litigation - Having tried cases in every department of the Massachusetts Trial Court and in the Federal District Court, we are experienced in all aspects of civil litigation. We have acted as lead counsel for plaintiffs and defendants in a wide range of civil matters including real property disputes, contract actions, zoning litigation, personal injury cases, residential and commercial landlord-tenant matters, probate litigation, and business disputes.

Zoning Litigation – In addition to representing owners and neighbors at local zoning and planning board hearings, we have extensive experience litigating zoning appeals. Our zoning litigation has included representing proponents and opponents in appeals taken from decisions of local zoning boards.

Residential Landlord-Tenant – We represent both major real estate companies and individual property owners who rely on us for assistance with leasing and eviction of problem tenants. We selectively represent tenants whose landlords fail to provide habitable premises or otherwise violate tenants’ rights.

Commercial Landlord-Tenant - We have considerable experience representing both landlords and tenants in commercial leasing and in resolving landlord-tenant problems including litigation. Our clients include both landlords and tenants and range from retail and office leasing to shopping center leases.

Real Estate - We have extensive experience representing Sellers and Purchasers in the sale and acquisition of real property including assisting in financing, construction, and leasing.

Divorce- We approach divorce cases with a view towards speedy resolution of contentious issues emphasizing mediated settlement. But when confronted with an unreasonable opponent or one who prefers a protracted battle, often at the expense of children, our approach is to bring the matter to trial expeditiously so as to avoid the typical expense of endless court appearances and never- ending fees.

Personal Injury– We selectively represent individuals who have been injured in motor vehicle accidents or as a result of a property owner's negligence. We are not a high volume personal injury office. We accept only cases that we believe warrant the time and effort of litigation.

Business Entities & Counseling Our small business clients depend on us for a wide range of advice on matters affecting their daily operations such as business formation, leasing, employee issues, financing, customer disputes, and collections. For the small business owner, we provide services ordinarily provided to larger business by in-house counsel.
